ITALY.
We got up early in the morning, as any other day of school. But particularly that day, all of us were completely happy. A bus called “Canfaulí” was waiting for us at the main door of Escuela 2. We were going to Italy! It was amazing, fantastic, and wonderful! It was going to be our last travel with our class, 18th promotion, and it was going to be perfect. We all Knew. Because we have been too many years together and we had been waiting to have that trip during all our lives.
T
he atmosphere of the bus was warm and a bit noisy. All of us were having a good time. Speaking, watching films, listening to music… After three hours of travelling, we arrived to Barcelona, a great city, really. The plan was to get into a taxi at eight o’clock in the evening, but we all had a little problem: The sea wasn’t too good to travel by boat, so we had to wait until half past two in the morning. We didn’t know what to do! Can you imagine it? We were in an unknown city with no activities prepared. But we were with Ana and Rafa, and they took us to a place where we could play villar, little football, and all of that. We spent the nigh together playing in the cyber and when it closed, we started to talk about funny things, and without realized, we were all on the boat, direction to Rome.
The boat was small and there were no places to go among the highest part of the boat that was in the free air, and the dinning room. We spent there one day, exactly 22 hours. Fortunately, the weather was perfect, you know, sunny and hot, so we spent almost seven hours sitting on the highest part of the boat, listening to music, playing cards, and sunbathing. The bedrooms, where a little claustrophobic, but we couldn’t refused nothing.
My heart started to heat faster, and faster, and faster again. We were arriv
ing. Rome was some meters far fromf us. Our suitcases were already done. And there was nothing left, all alright.
At six o’clock in the morning, our feet were touching the Italian ground. And inside of us we were full of emotions. ROME, WE HAD JUST ARRIVED TO ROME!!! It was more than fantastic. Completely perfect. Or… not such as perfect. We had only one hour to sleep. The night before, we didn’t sleep anything. First we were going to arrive at three o’clock in the morning, so, stay such a short time waken, wasn’t very difficult. But then we were on a retard and we were going to arrive at four o’clock… and so on. At least, we arrived at six o’clock.
The Rome’s hotel was four stars, and we had no time to use it. We only had the breakfast, and after sleeping only for one hour we went to visit Rome city. We stay at the Coliseum for a while, The Nabona and more. And when we had dinner we went to visit the “Fontana trevi”. Really amazing. I loved Rome in all the possible ways.
Next day, Venezia. OHHHHHHHHH VENEZIA. I loved it, the saint Marco’s square, all the water streets, the gondolas…
Then, Firenze. We spent at Firenze one day and two nights. First night, we went to a little disco. The music wasn’t very modern, but we all had a great time. At the day, we went to visit Firenze, it was raining and it wasn’t comfortable. The weather was horrible, so we didn’t enjoyed Firenze. And at the night, we went to another disco. “Gilda’s Club”, it was a little strange, with zebra walls and leopard sofas. But the music was better and we like it very much.
The last day we went to Pisa. The smallest city that we saw. But it was nice too. We stayed there for a while and we visited the Pisa’s tower.
I loved the travel; all the places we visited and, I have to say, that I am very happy of the way we got on with each other. There was a big group emotion that we all felt. We spoke with people that we don’t usually speak too much at class, and we discovered new things…
When I was little, sometimes I thought how would be my life in the future, how would be the travel of fourth of ESO and how would I felt at that moment. Nothing is like I though. It isn’t better, It isn’t worse. Simply different, more real. And I have to say that I like these feelings.
