WILLIAM OCKHAM.
William of Ockham was a Franciscan friar and an English scholastic philosopher. As he was a Franciscan, he was dedicated to a life of extreme poverty. He died because of the black pest.
The Ockham razor (theory of the parsimony) is a type of reasoning based on the simplest solutions: “in equality of conditions the simplest solution is probably the correct one”.
The examples are the best way to understand this theory:
If you are near a village and you hear something galloping, it must be horses or zebras, but the most simply thing is that the noise that you have heart is of horses. But, it could be the other option, but it is more difficult to think, to be, or to believe.
Or, if you are walking in a forest, and you see a burned tree, you could have two options: This night have been a storm and a ray have burned the tree, or a terrorist band is burning all the trees they don’t like… You should choose the idea of the ray and the storm because is the simpler one, but it could be the other too…
This rule have had a capital importance in the developed of science.
SCOTLAND.
Scotland is one of the countries that form Britain (England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
Scotland is by the sea of the Atlantic Ocean. The Scottish territory is about 78.772 km2. Its population about 5.116.900 inhabitants, each 65 inhabitants per km2.
NATIONAL SYMBOLS:
The Scottish flag has a white cross on a blue bottom. It became part of the Union Jack’s flag in 1606. There are a lot of symbols, less important than the flag, in Scotland, like the thistle flower (Scottish national flower).
The song “Flower of Scotland” is considering the national hymn, competing with “Scotland the brave”. The Scottish uses each one for different things. The first one is use to be sung in football matches, for politic things, and the second is use to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth games.
POLITIC.
Like Scotland is part of Britain the Scottish chief of state is the British monarch, the queen Elizabeth II. But the Scottish call she “queen Elizabeth” instead of “Elizabeth II” because in Scotland there have never been a queen called “Elizabeth I”.

CLIMATE.
The Scottish climate is really varied. When I went to Scotland, normally it was cloudy in the morning, sometimes it rains in after dinner, and the sun was shinning after. Or the order change, or it rains during all the morning and then the sky is cloudy… really varied.
All this rains have made Scotland a very beautiful country. With green enormous gardens, and a lot of colourful flowers. When I went, that pure green surprised me, it was really, really beautiful.
NEW YEAR'S EVE.
There were dresses on the bed. High hells on the floor. Make up in the bathroom. And also four friends laughing in the hause. We weren’t alredy dressed, but only in a few minutes we would be...

It take us as an hour to be perfect and ready to go out. We were very happy because we were going to have the most fantastic night of our lives...
The problem began when we went out to the street. We were very surprised, the street was complete empty. “What can we do know?” We asked our selves. We started calling some taxi’s telephone numbers. But all the taxis in the city were busy. This was a stupid situation, there were not taxi, our feet were hurting already, and we had a great plan of New Year eve, but with no taxi, we couldn’t go. But suddenly our luck came back. A green light was coming to us.
THERE WAS A TAXI. A WHITE, GREAT, EMPTY TAXI. We started to laugh, to be happy again. We got inside. And our eyes stopped on the taxi’s clock. Only were 5 minutes left to be twelve o’clock. And we hadn’t the twelve grapes yet! “Oh, my got” we said. Can you imagine it? We had been a long time calling some taxi, waiting for some taxi, hopping to see some taxi…. And when we got it, we were going to arrived late. But we were happy. And this was the only thing important in the night.
We started the year still in the taxi, with a simile on our faces and giving to our friends sweet and strong hugs.
We could hear the music outside the Alameda’s ground. A long, red carpet was waiting to us. We gave the entrees to the police man and then we got inside.
I felt the mu
sic inside my ears. My feet started to move without control. In my face was the biggest smile. My eyes were looking at the people, dancing, moving enjoying. The music was loud. The place was dark. The people were dressed very elegant, like us. I thought that they were waiting to this night, like me and my friends; Sara, BegoƱa and Marta.
We met people during the night, we danced and enjoyed at all. I have to say that we had one of the most fantastic nights of our nights.
