SLAM. - “todo por una chica”.

“ –Where have you been, Sam? – Mark said. Too much friendly. And I said to myself: Oh, here we have it. Uncle Mark.”

The book that I am reading is compleatly different of all the books that I have ever read. It’s writen by Nick Hornby and it’s about the difficult live of a sixteen years-old boy, Sam, that feels in love with a beatiful girl of the same age, Alicia. They were sure that they will be together always. And one sunny day, Alicia remains pregnant. And the worst part is that she wants to have the baby. Sam feels that the decision is in her hands and he doesn’t refuse Alicia’s decision.
But Sam’s live has finished to him. Before, Sam had a simply and a confortable life, but with the baby that is coming he start to loose many things. He was use to skate. The “skateboard” is one of the most important part of his life. The way that the books discribes how much he enjoyes skating and reading his favorite book: Hawk – ocupation: skate board. Is realy good. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s really exciting and interesting. It isn’t a normal book. The author doesn’t describe everything that happens like: She took my hand and said to me that she loved me. No, nothing like that. The things that happens are told in a very short way. When you meet Sam you feel that he is incredible, I love him, really, his way of beeing and the thinks that he likes. But the best thing of him is the way that he express his feelings.... Is quite good.

“going on the skate during nine minutes and fifty-five seconds isn’t enough, because five seconds are enough make of you a completly desaster. Yes, the live is just like this, it’s true. It isn’t fair for me, but here you have it. “

ITALY.

We got up early in the morning, as any other day of school. But particularly that day, all of us were completely happy. A bus called “Canfaulí” was waiting for us at the main door of Escuela 2. We were going to Italy! It was amazing, fantastic, and wonderful! It was going to be our last travel with our class, 18th promotion, and it was going to be perfect. We all Knew. Because we have been too many years together and we had been waiting to have that trip during all our lives.
The atmosphere of the bus was warm and a bit noisy. All of us were having a good time. Speaking, watching films, listening to music… After three hours of travelling, we arrived to Barcelona, a great city, really. The plan was to get into a taxi at eight o’clock in the evening, but we all had a little problem: The sea wasn’t too good to travel by boat, so we had to wait until half past two in the morning. We didn’t know what to do! Can you imagine it? We were in an unknown city with no activities prepared. But we were with Ana and Rafa, and they took us to a place where we could play villar, little football, and all of that. We spent the nigh together playing in the cyber and when it closed, we started to talk about funny things, and without realized, we were all on the boat, direction to Rome.
The boat was small and there were no places to go among the highest part of the boat that was in the free air, and the dinning room. We spent there one day, exactly 22 hours. Fortunately, the weather was perfect, you know, sunny and hot, so we spent almost seven hours sitting on the highest part of the boat, listening to music, playing cards, and sunbathing. The bedrooms, where a little claustrophobic, but we couldn’t refused nothing.
My heart started to heat faster, and faster, and faster again. We were arriving. Rome was some meters far fromf us. Our suitcases were already done. And there was nothing left, all alright.
At six o’clock in the morning, our feet were touching the Italian ground. And inside of us we were full of emotions. ROME, WE HAD JUST ARRIVED TO ROME!!! It was more than fantastic. Completely perfect. Or… not such as perfect. We had only one hour to sleep. The night before, we didn’t sleep anything. First we were going to arrive at three o’clock in the morning, so, stay such a short time waken, wasn’t very difficult. But then we were on a retard and we were going to arrive at four o’clock… and so on. At least, we arrived at six o’clock.
The Rome’s hotel was four stars, and we had no time to use it. We only had the breakfast, and after sleeping only for one hour we went to visit Rome city. We stay at the Coliseum for a while, The Nabona and more. And when we had dinner we went to visit the “Fontana trevi”. Really amazing. I loved Rome in all the possible ways.
Next day, Venezia. OHHHHHHHHH VENEZIA. I loved it, the saint Marco’s square, all the water streets, the gondolas…
Then, Firenze. We spent at Firenze one day and two nights. First night, we went to a little disco. The music wasn’t very modern, but we all had a great time. At the day, we went to visit Firenze, it was raining and it wasn’t comfortable. The weather was horrible, so we didn’t enjoyed Firenze. And at the night, we went to another disco. “Gilda’s Club”, it was a little strange, with zebra walls and leopard sofas. But the music was better and we like it very much.
The last day we went to Pisa. The smallest city that we saw. But it was nice too. We stayed there for a while and we visited the Pisa’s tower.

I loved the travel; all the places we visited and, I have to say, that I am very happy of the way we got on with each other. There was a big group emotion that we all felt. We spoke with people that we don’t usually speak too much at class, and we discovered new things…
When I was little, sometimes I thought how would be my life in the future, how would be the travel of fourth of ESO and how would I felt at that moment. Nothing is like I though. It isn’t better, It isn’t worse. Simply different, more real. And I have to say that I like these feelings.

ONLINE GAMES.

I have been thinking about what to talk about in this entry, and at the end I arrived in to that conclusion:
What influence make the new technologies in the new generations.

Not many years ago, the children games weren’t as influenced of the techonology as nowadays. The virtual games and the internet of the new generations have made another destiny in the actually lives.
There are people that have made some projects that show the differences between one time and another.
The relation with the education, maybe enfazise that internet take part of with those new experiences (games that enducate and so on...)
Videogames and Internet are providing these new generations with experiences that may arise different consequences.
In this paper we discuss videogames as “socializing elements”, their relations with learning and the differences between learning with them and at school.
Internet provide children with information in great quantities and with different qualities.

Kinds of Online games:

If I had to separate the online games in two groups I would do it like this:
-Violent games. –Educative games.

Violent games.
What I unserstand by saying “violent games”?
Well, I think that most of the online games are violent. The could be with a content or another, but at all I think that they’re violent, because of the ambiane, the objectives and so on. One example of those kind of games is “Satarcraf
t”. Is a science fiction game based in create strategies to have territories conquered. At least, It was a computer game that you might buy in a shop to be able to play. But nowadays is all aronud.

Educative games.
There are less numer of educative games than violent ones. But I think these are better. They improve our mind while we are having a good time. One clear example is “Brain training”. Is a game to train your brain. Because of that, Brain training’s name’s arised. It is an alternative way to spend the time while you are doing somenthing usefull. Brain training game prepare you in every fields: It has maths subjects, to know how old is you brain, to improve you calculation, and so on... Also you can have a good time learning how to speak and pronunciate whatever languages you want. Yo practice grammar and vocabulary. Yo can improve your abilities and become a more inteligent person.

That great game arised as a “Nintendo DS” game. But with the time we have got it! It is in our hands with the only fact of switching on the computer. You can play it everywhere and any time of the day. There are many internet pages that have links with that game to have a great time and with out costing nothing, absolutely FREE!
I’m not used to play games on the internet. But I have played that game for a while to see how it was, and I have enjoyed at all. I think that those kind of games are better than the violent ones because they give you something good and usefull. The other, make you feel violent and makes you be annoyed with every one faster, I mean, violent games makes you feel violent... And you don’t realize of that fact. I think that spend a while playing brain training is something really intersting that all of us should do almost once. Have you tried to play it? I recommed you!

WILLIAM OCKHAM.

William of Ockham was a Franciscan friar and an English scholastic philosopher. As he was a Franciscan, he was dedicated to a life of extreme poverty. He died because of the black pest.

The Ockham razor (theory of the parsimony) is a type of reasoning based on the simplest solutions: “in equality of conditions the simplest solution is probably the correct one”.

The examples are the best way to understand this theory:

If you are near a village and you hear something galloping, it must be horses or zebras, but the most simply thing is that the noise that you have heart is of horses. But, it could be the other option, but it is more difficult to think, to be, or to believe.
Or, if you are walking in a forest, and you see a burned tree, you could have two options: This night have been a storm and a ray have burned the tree, or a terrorist band is burning all the trees they don’t like… You should choose the idea of the ray and the storm because is the simpler one, but it could be the other too…

This rule have had a capital importance in the developed of science.

SCOTLAND.

Scotland is one of the countries that form Britain (England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
Scotland is by the sea of the Atlantic Ocean. The Scottish territory is about 78.772 km2. Its population about 5.116.900 inhabitants, each 65 inhabitants per km2.

NATIONAL SYMBOLS:
The Scottish flag has a white cross on a blue bottom. It became part of the Union Jack’s flag in 1606. There are a lot of symbols, less important than the flag, in Scotland, like the thistle flower (Scottish national flower).

The song “Flower of Scotland” is considering the national hymn, competing with “Scotland the brave”. The Scottish uses each one for different things. The first one is use to be sung in football matches, for politic things, and the second is use to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth games.

POLITIC.
Like Scotland is part of Britain the Scottish chief of state is the British monarch, the queen Elizabeth II. But the Scottish call she “queen Elizabeth” instead of “Elizabeth II” because in Scotland there have never been a queen called “Elizabeth I”.

CLIMATE.
The Scottish climate is really varied. When I went to Scotland, normally it was cloudy in the morning, sometimes it rains in after dinner, and the sun was shinning after. Or the order change, or it rains during all the morning and then the sky is cloudy… really varied.

All this rains have made Scotland a very beautiful country. With green enormous gardens, and a lot of colourful flowers. When I went, that pure green surprised me, it was really, really beautiful.
NEW YEAR'S EVE.

There were dresses on the bed. High hells on the floor. Make up in the bathroom. And also four friends laughing in the hause. We weren’t alredy dressed, but only in a few minutes we would be...

It take us as an hour to be perfect and ready to go out. We were very happy because we were going to have the most fantastic night of our lives...

The problem began when we went out to the street. We were very surprised, the street was complete empty. “What can we do know?” We asked our selves. We started calling some taxi’s telephone numbers. But all the taxis in the city were busy. This was a stupid situation, there were not taxi, our feet were hurting already, and we had a great plan of New Year eve, but with no taxi, we couldn’t go. But suddenly our luck came back. A green light was coming to us.
THERE WAS A TAXI. A WHITE, GREAT, EMPTY TAXI. We started to laugh, to be happy again. We got inside. And our eyes stopped on the taxi’s clock. Only were 5 minutes left to be twelve o’clock. And we hadn’t the twelve grapes yet! “Oh, my got” we said. Can you imagine it? We had been a long time calling some taxi, waiting for some taxi, hopping to see some taxi…. And when we got it, we were going to arrived late. But we were happy. And this was the only thing important in the night.

We started the year still in the taxi, with a simile on our faces and giving to our friends sweet and strong hugs.

We could hear the music outside the Alameda’s ground. A long, red carpet was waiting to us. We gave the entrees to the police man and then we got inside.

I felt the music inside my ears. My feet started to move without control. In my face was the biggest smile. My eyes were looking at the people, dancing, moving enjoying. The music was loud. The place was dark. The people were dressed very elegant, like us. I thought that they were waiting to this night, like me and my friends; Sara, Begoña and Marta.

We met people during the night, we danced and enjoyed at all. I have to say that we had one of the most fantastic nights of our nights.

This is england.
